Pride & Prejudice Calico Critter videos are now live!
Calico Critters are acting out Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen!
I am so excited that my first Pride & Prejudice Calico Critter videos are now live for you to watch!
So, this idea started when I kept getting told that Tik Tok was the place to sell books. I have absolutely ZERO desire to make videos of myself every single day. Not only do I have kids screaming in the background, but I feel like I’m kind of boring lol.
I tried making a few and put them on my Tik Tok account, but then got pregnant with my 4th kid, and life just got chaotic. And since I don’t really use TikTok (or Instagram, for that matter – it’s like I’m 67 instead of 37….)
Fast forward to my older kids getting really into Calico Critters. I also wrote a guest post for Always Austen where I said which type of bird each P&P character would be.
It led me to wonder which animal traits each Pride & Prejudice character had…. and then my post on which Calico Critter each P&P character was came to life.
And THEN I had the idea…. WHAT IF THE CALICO CRITTERS ACTED OUT PRIDE AND PREJUDICE?!
Y’all, my kids and I have had SO MUCH FUN with this! From the music to them learning the story and asking questions to choosing the clothes and the setting.
We’re a few videos in. I’m putting them on my TikTok account, then also uploading them onto YouTube, then trying to get them onto Instagram and Facebook. I’m slow with social media, and NaNoWriMo is tomorrow (and Halloween today, and my 3rd kiddo has been sick).
